Uses:

• Prevention of organ rejection in kidney, heart, or liver transplant patients

• Used along with other immunosuppressive medicines to protect transplanted organs

• Suppresses the immune system to prevent it from attacking the transplanted tissue

Side Effects:

• Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea

• Stomach discomfort or pain

• Headache, dizziness

• Increased susceptibility to infections

Rare: severe allergic reactions, low blood cell counts, liver function abnormalities
