Uses:

• Treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and acid reflux

• Healing and prevention of stomach and duodenal ulcers

• Management of Zollinger–Ellison syndrome (excess stomach acid production)

• Relief from heartburn and acid-related stomach discomfort

Side Effects:

• Headache, dizziness

• Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea

• Stomach pain or bloating

• Joint pain

• Rare: severe allergic reactions, low magnesium levels, vitamin B12 deficiency with long-term use
