• Management of loss of appetite and significant weight loss in patients with cancer or HIV/AIDS (cachexia)

• Palliative treatment of advanced breast cancer and endometrial cancer

• Helps improve body weight and nutritional status in patients with chronic illness-related anorexia

Side Effects:

• Weight gain, increased appetite

• Nausea, vomiting, stomach discomfort

• Fluid retention, swelling in ankles or feet

• Mood changes

Rare: blood clots, shortness of breath, severe allergic reactions
